When I first read about the design battle contest, this was my initial idea. I didn't have time to work on it until today and I know I'm not the only one with mudkips on the brain for a t-shirt. This is my take on a mudkips design, love them or hate them (I loved that avatar seizure by mudkips) they've definitely made a mark on the dA community.
I wanted to be sure that the image wasn't too close to the mudkip (which I know is under a copyright sort of protection so dA might have issues printing shirts with an actual mudkip on it) This gives the idea of a mudkip without being a mudkip and lets the dA logo get in on the fun.
I made this in photoshop to go with the sea foam color shirt. I suppose on the slight chance that anyone actually notices this design and I get chosen for the voting round I'll have to figure out how to transfer photoshop stuff to illustrator.
I sure hope at least one mudkip themed shirt gets into the voting round because that's what I want to buy!
Thanks so much for saying so. I agree that I'm not much impressed with most of the designs chosen for the semis but I had fun making this and that's what counts.
