Tipped with pink

Painted off a photo I took once of one of our roses. The colors pretty much match those the flower actually had but I decided to let the pink paint flow where it wanted on each petal. That's half the fun of watercolors. I actually like blooms when they are used right. I mean the watercolor kind there, not the flower kind

In any case I painted this as a Christmas present for a good friend. She's the kind that really appreciates hand made stuff so I'm glad I found the time to paint it.
