Not much going on to write about. Just updating my journal that no one ever reads. Yeah, my contribution to all the rest of the useless stuff that just sits there on some server chugging away in a cold room somewhere.

Actually a ton of stuff is going on, that's why I'm not on here. And why my to-view deviations list is pushing 2000+. Prelims round 2 is coming up and I gotta study my butt off, don't want to fail this time. I was so close last time...

So the battle design contest announced the semi-finalists. (no mudkips) *sadness* I didn't win but whatever. I'm sad because I don't like all but one of the designs. Hmm, maybe that's a good thing, fewer tshirts I'd wanna buy...

I know this journal hardly attracts any notice but this is the one design I really like and I hope it wins. In case anyone stumbles on this and likes clicking links go vote for this one

Ackk! It's 2009. Last 00X year. I always wondered what the MI6 people do after they have 9 agents. The phrase "O-ten" doesn't have the same ring as "double-O-seven". But I digress. Guess it's about time I updated my journal. I only did my last one like half a year ago...

SO first things first, I decided to try a tagging feature. I got the idea from =foeo so I've included thumbnails of his work to get started. Assuming anyone actually reads my journal, feel free to play along.

The first 10 people to comment will get three thumbnails of their works featured in my journal - I get to choose which ones. The deal is, you must then post a journal and feature 10 more people the same way, as well as feature three thumbnails of my work – which you get to choose!

Sorry I took so long foeo! I should give fair warning to anyone else who wants to participate in this journal tagging thing. I don't have great response time. Not that I'm trying to scare anyone away, I just have myself on a career path that doesn't leave a lot of time for art. BTW, this quarter I've got prelims, I have a boat load of studying to look forward too. I'll try to scrap some time out for dA though.

So my second year anniversary on dA was on June 12th. I missed it last year 'cause I was turning in final projects (designing a chemical plant!) and graduating. It may appear I missed it this year too, but I didn't. I actually had my last final of the school year on that day. (I used "I actually" to start 3 sentences in a row in my last journal, lol). After that I had typed up a bit of 'yay!' journal page and... then lost it to the dA maintanance page.

I just gave up to finish what packing I could. I moved into a new apt the following day with my family's help. Then I spent a much needed week at home. Now I'm unpacking in my new place. Most of it's done; I kinda have fun starting over in a new place.

Oh, it's summer now! No classes! Wow, I..I...have...free time Not too much though. I've got research and I'm gonna study for prelims, and I should write that paper from last year... yeah.

One last random thought: I LOVE Gir from Invader Zim.

Her and her partner in crime are 2 of the nicest people I've met and chatted with on deviant art. They have grand galleries that I have yet to dig fully through. Here's a sample of their stuff.

So anyway I've got a new quarter starting today. First class in 2 hrs or so. I survived another round of finals and had a week of spring break. I did alot of sewing, 3 new skirts and warm weather around the corner, Yay! I'm searching for a new place to live for the next school year and ever briming over with ideas of stuff to draw, paint, or photoshop experiment with. I actually passed my 1000th page view (I actually missed it!) and I have an idea for that to draw out. I actually wanna start a comic style series of sorts with my own characters, tentative title: Talking to Myself. I have plenty of material, just need time and I need to hope I can manage to get it out of my head and onto paper! We'll see how long before I get that started. I also want to do more on my manuscript numbers (followed by letters), oh and I have this and that and the art meme thingy and those other ideas and...

Don't hold your breath waiting for me to get alot of art done. I'm too busy being a grad student engineer...that's a major contributing factor to my lack of dA activity!
